Piassa is Addis Ababa’s oldest and most popular neighborhood. It was occupied by Italians during Italy’s Fascist regime in Ethiopia 1936-1941. Short after the occupation Piassa became a central location in Addis Ababa for trade, entertainment, and of course cafe’s. Rich with culture and history, Piassa is a location Ethiopians are proud to claim as their own.
